About Us
Bajraktari Realty Management Corp. is owned and operated by partners Harry Bajraktari and Rrustem Gecaj, who purchased their first building in the Bronx over 25 years ago and have since grown the business into a multi-faceted real estate company.
In October 1978, the partners purchased their first piece of property in the Bronx, which they still own. In June 1980, they opened a real estate office at 229 West Kingsbridge Road where they specialized in property management for others while continuing with brokerage, apartment rentals and sales. By the end of 1980, they had acquired two more pieces of property, both of which they still own and manage.
Bajraktari Management now owns and operates over 70 buildings throughout the Bronx, Manhattan and Yonkers. Projects also include residential developments in New York State and Florida, as well as some commercial properties in Kosova.
Having emigrated from Kosova many years ago, both Harry and Rrustem are active members of the Albanian-American community and continue to be strong voices in supporting a call to human rights, democracy, freedom and a free economy for the people of Albania and Kosova. Harry is a founding member and former vice chairman of the National Albanian America Council (NAAC) based in Washington, DC. He also founded and published Illyria, the Albanian-American Newspaper published twice weekly.
